i certainly hope you don't identify with the words to this song steph.
i would be sad if that's so.
funny how the title of the song is a bit misleading. the lyrics take you in a completely
different direction.
but that's the song.
i can definitely see the influence the song had on this beautiful piece.
a survivor of a broken heart perhaps.
on the surface they continue to go through the motions,...
but nothing seems to grow anymore.
while everything around them,...the world,...continues on.
so they sink into some secret place within.
somewhere they feel safe from being hurt again.
wishing to never 'disturb the slumber of feelings that have died.'
poignant.
wish it were true.
